High Point Market For Him

Century Furniture Showroom. High Point, North Carolina
It takes a little more of an effort, but I am a master at locating great pieces for the homes of my male clients.  Normally this is a chore, because few companies think about men as furniture .  Many companies still have the outdated notion that they prefer black leather furniture with plasma screen TVs over well thought out sophisticated spaces.  My clients are different.  For the past decade, I've created some really stylish spaces for some really stylish men. It has been my pleasure to learn all I can about how they live and how they share their lives with the world through their homes.

What I've learned is that men  love pieces that tell a story.
Like this iron and wood console at Century Furniture. I could use this piece over and over in so many places. It has just the right amount of visual interest.
This is how leather should  be done . Blue leather with nail head trim.  The chair would work great with this blue and grey wallpaper.  The hint of gold makes the space very modern.
I could just stock pile this gold accessories.  Love them on a desk, entry table or book case.
Black is should not be totally axed out of a bachelor's pad. I love the darkness of the map which is used as art as well as the black ceramic lamp. Perfect Contrast with the ash grey chest.
The Noir Showroom had several bone pieces that I also loved.  Check out this side table (above) and Backbone sculpture ( below)
Also at the Noir showroom - This honeycomb bookcase was a huge success.
Back at Century Furniture. Both the desk and green leather desk chair are winners
Here is the chest again form century furniture in a different color. Still paired with over sized art.  The legs add a different feel to the piece.
How cool is this men's wear fabric on this chesterfield sofa?  Cool twist on your home's decor.  Also a huge fan of the rug from Tamarian Carpets.
Finally, I love the large scale pattern on these dining chairs. Who said everything has to be solid?

When I came across this chair by KI, I immediately thought that I'd like to see it outside it's planned application. Instead of having it in a commercial setting, I'd like to see it as an accent chair.  I love the sculptural aspect of the chair. Pair it with a great piece of art for maximum impact.

as focal point of the space.
Use of graphic area rug
Carved statues from his travels
Idea to Steal:
The use of blue on the walls
It is both casual and calm.  It also
mixes well with the brown wood tones found throughout
the apartment.

Spice things up with fiery hues in the main living space.
Mix in a lot of patterns and textures for
a collected Bohemian feel.

Faded Ikat Rug By West Elm

I am always on the look out for area rugs that fit seamlessly into the homes of my clients.
I've waded through enough piles of oriental and floral options to know- if it fits into a masculine space- I'd better jump on it.
This Faded Ikat Rug at West Elm is an example of such a score.
The faded blue and gray color scheme would fit perfectly in both a lightly painted or bold hued room.
The Ikat pattern is on trend and will disguise a multitude of stains.
Like it for the color and versatility, Love it for the cost and construction.
Made of 100% wool, this rug is a steal and can be picked up for between $129.00 and $849.00 depending on size.
